Up in Smoke! Weed Should it be legalized? It's definitely debatable...

I'm not or have I ever been a weed smoker, but I have always suspected that there would be a tax increase if weed is legalized. I could be wrong, but I think the "powers that be" can't really figure out how to properly tax the ever so popular plant...that's why its still illegal.

As far as weed being a gateway drug, I'm not really convinced of theory...the validity of the "increases in other drug use" statement is debatable. I know people who've been smoking for years. Its there drug of choice...they haven't entered into this so called gateway, but in defense of this theory....I do know some who have. So as I said before, its debatable.

There are so many ways that people are breeding and cultivating this stuff that I can't imagine that the goverment can figure this out...hell, they can't figure out things that are a lot simpler! The stuff has flavors and other crap put into to that smells like it can knock out a horse! I for one, can't mess with the stuff...if I were to get contact, I'm flying...and the strongest drink I can handle is Arbor Mist...lol

At times, I think it should be legal....tobacco is a killer...alcohol is the biggest killer....prescription drugs are killing people too! Along with other stuff people are sniffing and inhaling....

My point is not to condone another potentially deadly drug into our society...my point is that (to me) it makes no sense not to legalize when so many people legally allowed to purchase and enjoy alcohol and cigarettes that are proven just a bad...

Whether is Ganja...dro, bud..weed..sticky...fire, purple or whatever new name that comes up...people are getting blowed anyway...may it legal...or not.

I'm not too particular one way or the other!

Another thing...I think alot of weed smokers are confused about this subject also...I think many would like to smoke freely, but I don't think they would be happy with taxes being put on their favorite pastimes. lol
